Acceptance of terms

By booking an experience or taking part in an experience signifies that you have read, understood and agree to be bound by these terms.

If you do not agree with these terms, you must not book or take part in an experience.

Bookings and payments
-
Bookings are essential
-
Payment must be made in full before your booking will be accepted.

Cancellations
-
You are free to amend your booking or cancel your booking with a full refund, less credit card fees, if giving more than 14 days notice.

If you cancel between 7 to 14 days of the confirmed scheduled experience a 50% refund would be provided. Reschedule requests will be charged a 25% surcharge.

If you cancel within 7 days of your confirmed scheduled experience no refund will be provided. Reschedule request are not permitted.

We will not provide refunds for “no shows”.

Swan Valley Speed humps reserves the right to cancel experiences or modify any aspect of experiences in the interests of guests, staff, and camel safety and/or animal welfare.

Swan Valley Speed Humps reserves the right to cancel experiences for any reason, including but not limited to weather conditions, safety and security.

Participant age and legal capacity
-
If the person taking part in the experience is aged between 12-18years of age, or otherwise lacks legal capacity, then a parent or guardian must agree to these terms on the participants behalf.

Participation in an Experience represents that, the Participant has read and understood these terms prior to booking and/or paying for the experience and agree that these terms will be binding.

The guardian warrants that they have full legal authority to enter these terms on the participants behalf.

The guardian warrants that the participant is aged 12 years or older, and
-
The guardian acknowledges that these terms will be binding upon the guardian and the participant.

Participant requirement

The participant understands the nature of the experience and the risks involved with it, and
-
The participant acknowledges and understands that they are choosing voluntarily to take part in the experience and are free to refuse to participate in it at any time; and
-
The participant acknowledges that they will be entering areas where large animals may be present, and that these areas may have uneven surfaces, trip hazards, electric fencing, insects and bees, and/or other potential hazards that could cause injury.

The participant must wear appropriate clothing and footwear.

The Participant is responsible for providing their own sunscreen, insect repellent and medications if and as required.

Participants with medical conditions and disabilities will be accommodated to the best of our ability. However, in the interest of participant safety the cameleer may modify the experience and as such may not be able to provide close contact with the camels.

If the participant has any concerns or believes that the conditions of the experience are unsafe, they are to immediately stop taking part in the experience and alert a Cameleer.

Cameleers
-
All experiences take place under the direction of our cameleers
-
It is a condition of booking that the participant accepts all instructions given by the staff during the activity, and that failure to follow instructions may result in being excluded from the rest of the activity.

The participant agrees that no unsupervised feeding or interaction with the animals is to take place, and agrees that failure to follow this instruction will result in being excluded from the rest of the activity.

Should our staff determine in their sole discretion, that one or more participants are acting in an unsafe manner, or fail to obey the instructions or directions of the staff, the staff may instruct the participants to cease taking part or terminate the experience all together. In such circumstances, no refunds or credits will be provided for the unused portion of the experience.

Participants believed by our staff to be under the influence of alcohol, drugs or any other substance or medication that may impede their cognitive or physical function will be refused participation. In such circumstances, no refunds or credits will be provided for the unused portion of the experience.

Acknowledgement of Risk

Safety is our priority and we take all reasonable steps to ensure the safety and wellbeing of all participants, staff, animals, and all members of the public.

By booking an experience the Participant confirms that they understand, acknowledge and agree that:

Camels, as independent animals can act in a sudden, unpredictable or erratic manner especially if frightened or hurt;
-
And any camel can bite, buck, kick or startle etc. and put the participant or handler and the camel at risk of injury.
-
Experiences are outdoors and Participants may be exposed to insects, uneven terrain, and the elements and must take responsibility for their own safety and welfare.

The Participant participates in the experience at their own risk; and
-
The Participant must look out for the safety of themselves and other participants, staff and camels.
-
The Participant accepts all risks associated with the experience including but not limited to the possibility of personal injury, property damage, third party liability or loss resulting therefrom.

We will not be held liable for any injury or property damage caused to participants by unauthorized and/or unsupervised access into camel enclosures by Swan Valley Speedhumps staff.
